Have you ever wondered about your "food environment"? Take a look at the USDA's newly launched "Your Food Environment Atlas" . The atlas lets you select a US county and view statistics ranging from number of grocery stores in the county to the per capita consumption of meat and soda. There's a lot of interesting data here. ReplyDeleteWow, I am horrified by most of what I see: like such high low income preschool obesity rates and the soda and fast food maps. The paucity of farm to school programs is depressing. Thanks for sharing such a great resource!
